Fog light stabilizers

I made and amazing 2002 discovery at O'Riley's Auto Parts today. What is labeled as a 'INTAKE BRACKET KIT' to mere mortals, is actually a BMW 2002 fog light stabilizer!

Do your fog lights vibrate while driving? I've found a cure for $4.95 per light.

Here is the assembly as I have it installed on my car. There are enough pieces in the package that you should be able to make a stabilizer to work with most lights. I added a rubber vacuum cap and two small flat washers. This should work with lights mounted on the bumper too.

I drilled this mounting hole just below the hood hinge. I selected a location that would allow the bracket to protrude between the grill slats. Remember to leave room for the flat washer.

Here is the assembly mounted to the car. Use the jam nuts to adjust length. Adjust the angle at the adjustable at joint. Make sure to tighten the phillips screw to lock the joint.

Here's how it looks with the grill reinstalled.

Reinstall you fog lights and enjoy vibration free lighting!
